The Land of Toumaï - Chad

The Land of Toumaï

Chad, the 5th largest country in Africa by area, spans 1,284,000 km², landlocked without access to the sea and bordered by six countries.

A country of diverse cultures with over a hundred languages spoken, predominantly Arabic and French.

Chad is an undiscovered country known for its music, dances, and magnificent landscapes.

It is also renowned for its conservation efforts, with 20% of its land dedicated to biodiversity, and its prehistoric relics, including rock engravings and the discovery of the skull of one of the earliest humans called TOUMAÏ.

TOUMAÏ is an ancestor to all of us, a small part of Chad lives within us. Isn’t that moving?

Feel the call of this proud and wild land, home to nearly as many people (17 million) as dromedaries (12 million).

Hear the rough sounds of camel caravans quenching their thirst at the Guelta d'Archei deep in the Sahara in the Ennedi.

And finally, live among the courageous men and generous women who will share with you their most precious possession: the land of Chad, where our common ancestor was born, the land of TOUMAÏ.
